Run real queries and mutations against your Honeybase organization, right here. The editor has full autocomplete and a schema explorer built from the live schema, so you can explore the API without leaving the docs.
To run anything you need an organization API key (hbk_…). Create one under
Organization Settings → Developer → API Keys — see
Authentication for what a key can and cannot do. Paste it
into the API key field below and choose your endpoint (the hosted API, or a
local server on :8080).
The key is stored only in this site's localStorage and sent only as an
Authorization: Bearer header to the endpoint you choose. It is never
transmitted to the docs site and never leaves for any third party — this site
ships no analytics or trackers.
Autocomplete, the schema explorer and pre-filled queries work offline. Actually running a query is a cross-origin request from the docs site to the API, so it only succeeds once the API's CORS policy allows the docs origin. If a run fails with a "could not reach" message, that is why — the query itself is fine.
Tips
- Operations are namespaced one level under the roots:
query { tasks { listTasks { … } } }. - Press Ctrl/Cmd-Enter to run the current operation.
- Use the Variables pane (bottom of the editor) for typed arguments rather than inlining them.
- A permission failure comes back as HTTP 200 with an
errorsentry — read Errors before writing retry logic.
